The Cake Lady’s Granddaughter

Where it all began….
Shirley Resnick, the Cake Lady. Shirley is one special lady…but not just because she is my “Silly Grandma”. Since 1968 (that’s over 50 yrs!) my grandmother has been baking speciality event and wedding cakes in Southern California. She is well known for the beauty of her cakes, but is renowned for the moisture and flavor of her speciality creations. She also loves people. Once you have met Shirley, the Cake Lady, you will not easily forget her! She is successful because of her talent, and loved because of her vivacious personality. She and my grandfather built an amazing legacy of loving, serving, and making cakes!
When I graduated college, my grandmother asked what I would like as a present. My response: I wanted her cake recipes, and for her to teach me how to make them. And so she did. What an amazing gift!
Before now, I have made cakes only for family and friends. Of course, they are the best tasting cakes! Due to high demand (because once you taste the difference between the Cake Lady’s cakes over any other - you won’t want any other!) here I am. I get to make cakes and share what I love with my community.
